On 21st July 2014 the BBC ran a news item on the charity for HIV orphans in Kenya which WLC and it’s parent organisation, British Study Centres, is an active contributor to. It makes a heart-warming story of how good intentions and hard work can really make a difference on the ground. WLC’s Chairman, who sits on the UK board of the charity, commented: “I’m really proud we have been able to help these kids. They started out as being some of the unluckiest kids in Kenya. We help them become lucky – able to lead near normal lives. Being born with HIV no longer need be a death sentence. It’s a real story of hope, and what Sister Mary and her team have achieved is really quite remarkable!”
